Sales Development Specialist – Chicago IL

Title:               Sales Development Specialist

Report to:     VP, Local Sales

 

Job Description:

The Sales Development Specialist will report into the Vice President of Local Sales for an individual region of the country and will assist the team in identifying prospective clients, qualifying leads as strong prospects, and setting appointments for the Account Executives. The Sales Development Specialist must be organized and attentive and be comfortable making dozens of calls per day and communicating information appropriately with AE counterparts.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Qualify leads
  • Set appointments for local account executives
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Achieve weekly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory
  • Track leads and prospects in order to measure sales conversions
  • Collaborate with team to build pipeline
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Use CRM accurately and efficiently

 

Requirements:

  • Proven inside sales experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficient with Power Point, Excel and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with CRM
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
