New York – (March 19, 2008)
Screenvision Extends Agreement with Uptown Entertainment for Further Growth in Detroit DMA with Addition of 20 New Screens
Screenvision, a leader in cinema advertising, has been appointed exclusive cinema advertising agency for Novi, MI based exhibitor Emagine Entertainment, Inc. Under this agreement, Screenvision will hold exclusive on-screen advertising sales rights and non-exclusive promotions rights for the exhibitor’s three locations and 46 screens, 36 of which are located in the Detroit DMA, the #11 DMA in the United States. Screenvision will present its preshow through digital cinema projectors already installed at all 46 screens and will install its own infrastructure in all three theatres to digitally deliver content.
In addition to its deal with Emagine, Screenvision will further expand its presence in the Detroit market through an extended agreement with Uptown Entertainment. That deal covers two additional theaters in the Detroit DMA, with a total of 20 more screens.
“Screenvision is very excited to be expanding our presence in the Detroit DMA, both through this new deal with Emagine Entertainment, Inc. and by extending our partnership with Uptown Entertainment,” said Darryl Schaffer, executive vice president of exhibitor relations for Screenvision.
Paul Glantz, founder and chairman, Emagine Entertainment, Inc. added: “We’re confident Screenvision’s industry know-how will help serve not only our cinema advertising needs but also help provide an entertaining preshow to our patrons.”
