SCREENVISION NAMES ANDREW L. BLACKER SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND RESEARCH

Prominent Media Executive Joins Company to Oversee Marketing and Research and Bolster Preshow Production and Sales
Screenvision, the global leader in cinema advertising, has hired media marketing executive Andrew L. Blacker as its new Senior Vice President, Marketing and Research.
In his new position, Blacker will be responsible for developing and executing Screenvision’s marketing strategy and unifying the company through branding, sales initiatives, strategies and advertising campaigns. Additionally, he will be integral in leading the production company that develops the Screenvision Pre-Show. Reporting to Michael Chico, executive vice president, ad sales and marketing for Screenvision, Blacker will be based in the company’s New York headquarters.
Blacker comes to Screenvision with nearly 15 years of experience in the media and marketing fields, with a primary focus in digital strategy, sales and development. Most recently Blacker was Vice President, Discovery Communications, Commerce Division where he oversaw marketing, online/offline promotions and new business strategy and development. He was also a member of the Executive Strategy Group.

Prior to Discovery, Blacker was Director of the AOL Networks Marketing and Strategy group, overseeing Network Specials and was the Director of Creative Development including custom publishing for advertisers and content partners. Blacker also served as the Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Ebrick.com and managed InfoSeek Corporation’s Business Development and various Sales efforts. Blacker started his career at Hearst New Media & Technology, where he created the first interactive classifieds section for Hearst New Media and HomeArts.com.
Andrew Blacker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Small Business Development from Cornell University.
